  2. Standard fees = $375 per term

  3. Standard fees cover scheduled classes and online material for the full term

Fee Policy

FEE POLICY

  1. Standard fees (Fees) are standard full term fees for core Music Classes Canberra (MCC) classes and are due in full before the commencement of the stated term or before a student attends their first class of the stated term

    • Standard fees are payable online at the same time as enrolment via the 'Timetable & Enrolment' page on the MCC website.

    • Standard fees are payable for the stated term only and are not transferable to another term.

    • Core MCC classes are for adult students (at least 18 years old) and are listed on the 'Classes' page and submenu on the MCC website.

  2. Special fees offered at the discretion of MCC are due in full by the due date specified in the special offer. â€‹â€‹

    • Special fees are payable either online via the MCC website, online via the MCC website with a promotion code, online via a payment link, or by direct deposit via invoice.

    • The conditions of use relating to any special fees will be specified at the time of issue.

  3. Fees must be paid and received in full before MCC commences services or releases products.

  4. Fees are inclusive of GST.

  5. Fees are non-refundable.

  6. Fees are based on enrolment by terms, not per week or per individual lesson, and cover both scheduled teacher instruction (classes) and online course material (course material) over a full term.

    • Terms generally coincide with ACT school term dates and will normally run 9 or 10 weeks and include 9 or 10 classes.

    • There may be occasions when classes are scheduled or rescheduled outside of ACT school term dates.

    • There may be occasions when fewer than normal classes are scheduled during a term, however access to and delivery of course material will continue.

    • There may be occasions when face-to-face classes are substituted with online classes.

    • There may be occasions when face-to-face or online classes are substituted with video instruction.

  7. In the event that a class falls on a public holiday:

    • The class will not normally run on the public holiday.

    • Class content will be adjusted as necessary.

    • Additional class time will not be arranged.

    • The class may be substituted with video instruction.

    • Students may attend a different class undertaking the same content within one week of the public holiday.

    • Access to and delivery of course material will continue. 

    • Fees will not be reduced.

  8. In the event that a scheduled class is cancelled due to teacher absence:

    • Students will be notified in advance by email or SMS.

    • Class content will be adjusted accordingly.

    • Additional class time may be arranged at a mutually agreed time between the teacher and participating students.

    • The class may be substituted with video instruction.

    • Students may attend a different class undertaking the same content within one week of the absence.

    • Access to and delivery of course material will continue. 

    • Fees will not be reduced.

  9. In the event that a student is absent from any individual scheduled class(es) within a single term:​

    • Additional class time will not be arranged.

    • Students may attend a different class undertaking the same content within one week of the absence.

    • Access to and delivery of course material will continue. 

    • Fees will not be reduced.

  10. In the event that a student will be absent from scheduled classes for at least four (4) consecutive weeks within a single term:

    • An adjusted fee may be arranged, calculated as the number of weeks of planned attendance multiplied by the adjusted weekly rate, at the discretion of MCC only if a written request is both received and approved by email prior to both the absence and commencement of the term and the student was enrolled for the full term prior the absence.

    • Additional class time will not be arranged.

    • Access to and delivery of course material will continue for the full term. 

    • Fees will not be reduced in retrospect.

  11. Fees may change at any time without notice.

  12. Enrolment constitutes agreement with this fee policy.​

FEE INFORMATION

Fees and rates are subject to the above Fee Policy, current at 1/12/24 and may change at any time.

  1. The standard fee is $375 per term, which incorporates a significant discount from the weekly rate.

  2. The adjusted fee is calculated using the undiscounted rate of $47.50 per week (applicable to Fee Policy 10 only).
