ENROLMENT INFORMATION

Standard enrolment is an a per term basis.

The standard full term class fee for all classes is $295 per term plus an additional fee of $30 for compulsory class texts (including GST).

An invoice for the total of class and text fees will be emailed to you within 2 days after your enrolment is received.

Full term fees for new students are due before the commencement of term, or before attending the first class if the term has already started. Enrolment will be confirmed after full payment is received. Full term fees for continuing students are due 14 days after the commencement of term. Fees are non-refundable.

Classes noted as CONTINUING are for students progressing from the previous term, however they can sometimes be the right fit for new students with some background music experience. If you are interested in joining a CONTINUING class as a new student please contact us first to discuss suitability.

Please contact us to discuss your enrolment if you:

  • are planning an extended absence (4 or more weeks) during a term. We highly recommend attending as many classes as you can rather than taking off an entire term.

  • will not be able to attend any weekly classes within a term but would like access to Online Forums and targeted class material and information for the full term.

> NEW STUDENTS to Music Classes Canberra:

1. New students, please complete the new enrolment form.

2. 'Submit' form to register your enrolment.

3. By enrolling in a class you agree to the Music Classes Canberra Fee Policy.

> CURRENT STUDENTS continuing from Term 1 2023, do not need to submit a new enrolment form. Simply confirm your re-enrolment via email info@musicclassescanberra.com

FEE INFORMATION

The standard full term class fee for all classes is $295 per term plus an additional fee of $30 for compulsory class texts.​​ Class fees cover:

(a) weekly one-hour face-to-face or virtual group lessons; and

(b) continuous online access to course material, over a term.

 

Students will not be required to purchase any other texts or materials, and will be invoiced for the total of class and text fees after enrolment.

The fee for planned and approved* part-term attendance is $35 per attending week plus an additional single fee of $30 for compulsory class texts. Part-term class fees cover:

(a) weekly one-hour face-to-face or virtual group lessons for the number of weeks in attendance; and

(b) continuous online access to course material for the full term.

 

Students will not be required to purchase any other texts or materials, and will be invoiced for the total of class and text fees after enrolment.​ ​

 

*Please see the Fee Policy (10) for more information regarding planned absences and part-term attendance. Part-term fees must be requested and approved in writing before the commencement of a term.

The fee and fee policy for a workshop, when offered, will be specified directly in the offer for that particular workshop.

Fees are non-refundable.

FEE POLICY

  1. Standard fees are due in full before the commencement of term for new students enrolling in full term classes or 14 days after the commencement of term for continuing students enrolling in full term classes. Special fees offered at the discretion of Music Classes Canberra are due in full by the due date specified in the special offer.

    • Due dates are specified by invoice

    • Invoices will be sent by email.​

    • Invoices will be dated to reflect the date they are emailed.

  2. Standard fees not paid ​by the specified due date will automatically incur a $25 late payment fee. Special fees not paid by the specified due date will automatically incur a late payment fee, rate change or cancellation of enrolment as specified by invoice.​

  3. Fees are inclusive of GST.

  4. Fees are payable by direct deposit.

  5. Fees are based on enrolment by terms, not per week or per individual lesson, and cover both teacher instruction (classes) and online learning material (Forums) over a full term.

    • Terms generally coincide with ACT school term dates and will normally run 9 or 10 weeks and include 9 or 10 classes.

    • There may be occasions when classes are scheduled or rescheduled outside of ACT school term dates.

    • There may be occasions when fewer than normal classes are scheduled during a term, however access to Forums and online delivery of course content will continue to be provided.

    • There may be occasions when face-to-face classes are substituted with online classes.

    • There may be occasions when face-to-face or online classes are substituted with video instruction.

  6. Fees are non-refundable.

  7. In the event that a class falls on a public holiday:

    • The class will not normally run on the public holiday.

    • Class content will be adjusted as necessary.

    • Additional class time will not be arranged.

    • The class may be substituted with video instruction.

    • Students may attend any class of the same level scheduled at a different time.

    • Access to Forums and online delivery of course content will continue to be provided. 

    • Term fees will not be reduced.

  8. In the event that a scheduled class is cancelled due to teacher absence:

    • Students will be notified in advance by email or SMS.

    • Class content will be adjusted accordingly.

    • Additional class time may be arranged at a mutually agreed time(s) between teacher and all participating students.

    • The class may be substituted with video instruction.

    • Students may attend any class of the same level scheduled at a different time.

    • Access to Forums and online delivery of course content will continue to be provided. 

    • Term fees will not be reduced.

  9. In the event that a student is absent from any individual scheduled class(es) within a single term:​

    • Additional class time will not be arranged.

    • Students may attend any class of the same level scheduled at a different time.

    • Access to Forums and online delivery of course content will continue to be provided. 

    • Term fees will not be reduced.

  10. In the event that a student will be absent from scheduled classes for at least four (4) consecutive weeks within a single term:

    • A discount from the full term fee may be arranged, calculated as the difference between the standard full term class fee and the number of weeks in attendance at the part-term attendance rate, at the discretion of Music Classes Canberra only if a written application is received and approved prior to both the absence and commencement of the term. 

    • Additional class time will not be arranged.

    • Access to Forums and online delivery of course content will be provided for the full term. 

    • Term fees will not be reduced in retrospect.

  11. In the event that a student will be absent from scheduled classes for a full term but would like continued online access to course content and participation in Forums:

    • A ​discount from the full term fee will be applied if students choose to access online Forums only.

    • The student will be enrolled as an Online Forum Student Only and may not attend any face-to-face or online classes in a term.

    • Access to Forums and online delivery of course content will be provided for the full term. 

    • Term fees will not be reduced in retrospect.

  12. Fees may change at any time without notice.

  13. Enrolment constitutes agreement with this fee policy.​
